Why We Built This

We spent years in telling real stories that moved TV viewers. Yet we were frustrated by reality dating shows that continue to pull the same tired trick: beautiful people, manufactured drama...zero relatability.

In a highly-filtered online world, The Catch challenges singles to share their least postable life moments to build deeper connections. In doing so, we're creating more than a dating series, we're building a community...for both daters and viewers who are seeking something more real.

E! Entertainment TV, BET and other networks. The Catch is our experiment with "Reverse Catfishing," turning the tables on meeting someone who (shocker) looks nothing like their dating profile. With The Catch, asking the right questions about who a person WAS can tell you a lot about who a person IS today.

Online dating can often feel like wild crap shoot. But taking that risk paid off for me when I met the woman of my dreams. I've also enjoyed a dream career, producing and directing on a variety of shows, such as "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills", "The Dr. Phil Show" and a special on Janet Jackson, which even won an Emmy. While each project was different in its own way, they all had one thing in common: personal stories. With The Catch we offer singles the chance to tell their stories, illustrated by their most personal photos and videos.
